Project
Overview

Objective: At Third + Lane, natural light is the organizing principle. Strategically placed clerestory windows introduce soft, all-day daylight into the kitchen, shaping a refined two-bedroom, two-bath home where working, cooking, and living unfold seamlessly within a calm, cohesive environment.

Focus: The vision was to create a home that feels intentional rather than compact—one that supports daily rituals, remote work, and moments of retreat without excess. Designed for a couple, with one resident working from home, the layout prioritizes light, built-in functionality, and a restrained interior language. Every square foot was considered not to maximize density, but to elevate comfort, clarity, and livability.

Purpose: How thoughtful design—through light, proportion, and restraint—can create a sense of openness beyond square footage. Third + Lane shows how a carefully composed home can quietly support modern living, allowing work and rest to coexist while enhancing the everyday experience of those who inhabit it.
